Upon completing our program, you'll be prepared to take the CEHRS exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and embark on a career as an Electronic Health Records Specialist, EMR/EHR Assistant, Health Information/Medical Records Administrator, Medical Office Computer Specialist, Medical Records Clerk, or Patient Services Representative.

Upon completing our Medical Billing and Coding online courses, you'll be prepared to take the Medical Coder & Biller Certification (MCBC) exam , authorized by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)*.

Outcomes

• Explain the revenue cycle and the medical billing process to effectively transmit CMS-1500 claim forms using ICD and CPT codes.

• Describe front-end duties, including patient demographics, insurance verification, authorization, and referral forms.

• Ensure accuracy in payment processing, adjudication, and remittance advice or explanation of benefits.

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS regulations concerning protected health information, safety, claim submission, and fraud prevention.

Upon completion of the training, you will be able to choose between two certification pathways: a Healthcare focus (Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) and CompTIA A+) or Technical focus (CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+).
